Father's Day...

Its that time of year again. The time to appreciate all the things your dads do for you.
Some nice. Some embarrassing. Some cool. But mostly embarrassing.
There are lots of embarrassing things my dad has done to me. Like once, long ago, (hopefully long enough ago my friends forgot about it), I was walking out of school with my friends. Which, unforchanetly, consisted of one guy friend. Everything was fine, and I was waiting for my dad to pull up. Well, he already had. He marched up to the one guy friend and tapped him on the shoulder. He had then given him a lecture on the importance of protection and safety. Thats what dad's are for though, right? I didn't speak to either of them for a week. That was only one of the things that make my dad special. But there are countless reasons I love  my dad.

What about yours?
Is he inconsiderate? Overprotective? Mean? Or just an average Joe? Comment on what makes your dad special and why you do (or dont) appreciate him on fathers day!

Days Like This

Days like today make you want to appreciate everything your parents do for you. Especially when you spend the whole day mowing lawns and weeding gardens.
I couldn't wait for the day to be over. It was one chore after another after another. But that wasn't what bothered me. It was the fact that everything was breaking, which didn't help my dads tiny temper. He ended up breaking apart the old crappy weed whacker and kicking the trailer when it got stuck in the mud. Mending my dad's aching foot was the highlight of my day.
Anyway, next Saturday couldn't come slower. And waking up at three isn't going to be amazing, but I love flying. Cant wait!

Just Another Day

School was out I summer was in. I couldn't wait to hit the road with my cousin. Oh wait. Apparently, to my mom I could. Everything having to do with my dad's side of the family was something that could wait until later. I guess I couldn't argue. After all, she had been planning the baby shower for months. She must of spent hundreds of dollars on her friends unborn kid. I was annoyed but a little four wheeling cheered me up. I was actually starting to have a good day.

Then my phone broke. I was pretty sure the universe was out to get me when I fell into a pile of mud. There goes the new shirt.

My plane takes off this Saturday. At 5 am. That means I need to get up at three to MAKE IT on the plane. Oh well, Going to Cali is DEFINITELY worth it! ;)
